How to Change Your Mind

As a liberal, those are my weapons of choice. I come with a gun loaded with Malcolm Gladwell, Ted Bits, and New Yorker think-paces. When people are confronted with information that doesn't match their beliefs, their political beliefs, the first response is an automatic threat response. So, unfortunately, that tends to shut down rational thought. Even if that information's on a snazzy NASCAR? I don't think that makes too much of a difference.
