My parents and in-laws have no idea how I make a living. Here are some of the titles of the organisations I've worked for over the years. There were certainly days working in Timor Leste and Papua New Guinea when I struggled to articulate myself what I was doing. By one estimate, about 60% of an individual's time working on a governance programme is spent writing reports.
