The Importance of Intermediary Orders

I emphasize the ways in which the non-state orders act when they are intermediate orders and the way in which they help to serve our freedom against the background of the modern state. They act differently toward us when they are a balancing feature against something else in the background than when they exhaust the social landscape. So I know it, I admire it, I recommend the book very highly but at the end of the day I don't agree with it.
