After Rublev he tried to make a long indulgent film all about himself and his childhood through a set of dream sequences. He reminded me of Stanley Kubrick like doing The Shining. He just needs something right now. He wants money. And he likes to find this sci-fi story by... Stanislav Lem. If you read much of his work. You can after film. Even after Stalker which is pretty heavy on the religious imagery but kind of dances around it. But yeah he couldn't show Rublev. It was shown on television that there were various cuts and things that were made. Which is amusing given his subsequent filmmaking. So what are we going to talk about next?
