The White House's Strategy for Debt Relief
The President addressed the ongoing negotiations from the White House earlier this afternoon. Fitch, one of the country's three major credit rating agencies warned it might downgrade the country's credit rating. A number of Democrats privately and publicly have urged the President to stand his ground as Republicans push for across-the-board cuts in government programs.
