The Fed's Job Is to Keep Inflation Under Control
The president and congress are working in opposition of the feds goals. The fed's job is to keep inflation under control. It would be nice if fiscal policy and monetary policy were pushing the economy in the same direction. But those things may be too much to hope for in our political system.
