The Supreme Court and the Rule of Law
The rule of law seems to have held up quite consistently with the courts. Is it possible that the Supreme Court rather than just say we dismiss this case, kick it back down somewhere? That's not something the Supreme Court would do. A trial judge often does exactly what you're talking about. Sometimes they'll go. If you get convicted defending, I'm sending you away for a long time or they'll do the opposite of the prosecutors.
