The Importance of the Embera
Symphony 4th is Marla's fourth Symphony, the first movement. She was a global sensation playing the embera both at home and abroad. The embira has quite a lot of overtones and rich sounds to each individual pluck. It feels like it's part of a kind of dreamscape built around what it's all about. Bruno Walter writes for her while she worked under conductor Chiweniso. There are some very strange twists and turns in this piece too.
