The Bread and Wine Transfigured Into the Body of Christ

Bob Greene: We can say objectively the witch doesn't exist, but moment by moment, subjectivity is all we've got. He says if there's a witch making you panic and cry and look for help, that witch is real as a fact of experience. Greene: Emotional experiences are engraved deeply enough into our being that reason has a full-time job keeping watch. The Catholic Church maintains as dogma that the consecrated bread and wine taken in communion are transfigured into the actual body and blood of Christ.
