A lot of the different gangs sort of moved in to build a vacuum and this is when legends like Larry Hoover, David Barksdale and Jeff Fort start to form. I would even argue that this is also when a little bit of social engineering started from the Chicago government itself with a lot of the African-American gangs. And again, there was always money to be made in the drug trade, but the way it went beginning, especially in the 70s, 80s, it's just a totally another level altogether.
