Esvelte thinks this should wake all of us up to the potential that a single bad actor or would-be terrorist could use chatbots and large-language models to unleash chaos on the world. He doesn't believe the results from the chatbot's suggestions could actually cause much harm, but he does think we need to be prepared. Esvelte: One is to simply limit the research that these large- language models have access to. Another thing is to have stricter requirements on labs that actually create biohazardous material.
