The Future of Social Is Small
Sub stack is a small in the grand scheme of things so notes could be hugely successful among the people who subscribe to like the 500 sub stacks that matter. Ben Thompson wrote about this at least a year ago and then kind of rewrote about it recently but I do think there's a version of the world in which Twitter dies a death by a thousand paper cuts. There's not going to be any huge crash of Twitter or something where everybody just quits or the service stops working, but I'm spending a lot less time there now.
