The Cycle of Heaven
Can we think about the ways in which it's not just that we leave this world behind, no more than I leave my body behind, but that, because the degree that all the history has been in Christ, it is taken up? And within that, some shift some back and forth. There is a kind of Paul Griffiths of Catholic theologian who says there must be activity in heaven. This goes back to the debate that's gone on, off and on, whether is there a kind of constant movement to God or is it static? The first thing it needs to be circular, that it's like the Holy Sonnets of John Donne - you can recite it endlessly.
