It was the first time, actually, that the union was presented as a nation. 20 years before, in the time of the hartford convention, daniel webster was pretty much on the side of the north easterners who wanted to form anew. Now it's over after 20 years. I am sorry, but it is. The union is like a nation to us. So it's really a new thing through something else involved. And we are bound together by this union forever. This we saw, like for the first time,. this idea that the union is something like a moral catastrophe f the dissolution of the union was sort of a put there to discuss.
