Why Do You Kill Yourself?
The story that you just read from the ninth letter terit just occurred to me that a way to think of stoicism is how to be happy in suboptimal conditions. And it's interesting to think about, there's probably three main stoic authors whose writings we have: seneca, Marcus aurelius and epictetus. So i guess if that counts probably, i mean, i don't think they looke down on suicide. Cause, it comes up in antony and cleopatra. The conspirators there also kill themselves. It's a kind of a stoic, stoical act.
