The Montgomery Bus Boycott and the Civil Rights Movement
Roxanne Jones: The Montgomery bus boycott was reflective of what was good about the civil rights movement. She says blacks were tired of being treated like second class citizens, having to sit on the back of the bus and even Rosa Parks was told to get up and go to the back. "I think thereafter, this opportunity would catapult Martin Luther King into the forefront," she adds.
