The Relationship Between Judaism and Christianity

Jesus and his earliest followers were jews who lived a decidedly jewish context. It is only after the resurrection that the gospel message was taken in earnest to non jews. Many of the ideas in christianity that seem universal, such as the existence of a messiah, are jewish notion. The original 12 apostles were all jews, as were aul and barnabas and the vast majority of the earliest christian leaders.
