Is God's Punishment Consistent With Divine Love?

In the book, i develop this communicativeomu ofa theory of divine punishment. The basic idea here is that god punishes sinners for the purpose of communicating the censure they deserve to them. So he communicates what they deserve so that they might kind of learn from it and repent and seek reconciliation with god. This view of unushment has a retributivis component built in. Why does god punish while because they deserve to be punished? They deserve to have a certain penalty communicated to them. But that's not it. It's intrinsically aimed, or oriented, toward helping the sinner see where she's fallen short and where she might start down the path of being reconcil
