Dietary Obesity in Rats

The zucker rat was discovered, or identified, if you will, by a woman named lois zucker. And it had characteristics very similar to these mice that we were talking about, the o b and the d b mice. They appeared to have a ltlebit lower energy expenditure, and would become hugely obese. So this was model was often referred to as a pull model for the development of obesity. The atapos tissue was actually acting as a pull mechanism for substrait which was in turn affecting food in takes of the animal got fat.
