The Structure of the System Is Such That They Are All the Same
A lot of people in political science are trying to model the incentives and influences on legislators. And this is exactly the point that i'm making here. What we observe is that people come into office and they act the same way over and over and over again, and that nothing that you do is ever going to change em. It's not just because they're idiots. It's because that's their character. We pick them so that they are impermeable to external influence,. Who picks people who are impervious to outside influence? That's what politics is all about.
