But what really brought this issue to a full boil was a tweet by Amul last month in which they said that they would be entering Bengaluru soon. This created a big furor and raised concerns about whether Amul would now compete with Nandini, says Sudaka. The Amul issue also gave enough fodder to parties like the Congress to hit out against the BJP government just ahead of the state elections.
