Performance Reviews Are Not Persuasive
The fMRI measures the blood flow so it knows which part of the brain is getting more blood. We know for example what parts of the brain get activated when there's empathy and compassion involved right. So we can watch two people engaging in conversation with one another and we can see that perhaps one of those brains is now going into fight or flight mode. Our willingness to be persuaded and our ability to persuade seem to be elevated nowadays.
