Pentathenate Kinase and Coenzyme A

In the liver, pentathenate kinase is inhibited very strongly by four phosphopantathin and by three coenzyme A. The heart has a large reserve capacity to make more coa when it needs to. And in fact, if you look at the tissue concentrations, the heart will usually have a much larger percentage of its pentathenates as free pentathenated that can be made into coenzymeA but isn't. So there are other regulators that we don't really understand that much in heart.
