Maris: I think the line was too perfect to screw it up with reality. To me, as a mc carthy person, there's so much interesting, intertextual stuff going on the road. There might be something in these later, lesser works that, if they are lesser, by the way, we don't know, that will help me understand the earlier, greater works. But i realize that's the silly fear of a fan, and not the feeling of a reader who should just be glad that something else is outand not the reading of a critic who says, whell doesn't matter how good or bad it is. What matters is te the storehouse thits
