Vitrevious and the Renaissance

Vitrevious began to be taken up again in the middle ages. The real heyday for Vitrevious is not even antiquity, it's actually the Renaissance. Poggio Bracellini found a very good 9th century copy of Vitrevious which he brought back to Florence. And there were key figures in Florence at that time including Brinolesky Donatello who was re-exploring the idea of large structures.
