I was making a really serious push towards self employment. In my final two years of teaching, i was actually only teaching part time. I wasn't saving for retirement. I was burning through the savings that i had. It was not sustainable in the long run. So it was a real gamble, roll of the dice. But i i quit when the trajectory looked sound.
