The Balance of Power in the Arms Race
I do think that a lot of the negative scenarios you can imagine will have positive flip side so for example hacking and be one thing definitely better AI will let you do. But it's not clear in that kind of arms race. Maybe we'll all have like good eyes that kind of figure out what the bad AI might do and protect you. We want to have as much understanding as possible. I personally would see that as basically white hat activity certainly in the traditional computer security world. That's what security research do they they find vulnerabilities.
