The Effect Size of a Study on Reading Quality

In reading science, it's pretty rare for a really well-done study to show an effect size about 0.4. A meta study tries to take the results of these quasi experimental or RCT studies together and average them out in order to see what does the average study show. And generally speaking, studies almost always show a positive benefit because people don't tend to publish studies with negative results.
