How Google Metrics Impact User Experience

The better the metrics are, the better you will perform in Google search as well. How these different thresholds came about is a mixture of looking at existing UX research. For instance, and there's been a lot of research over the years showing that for a system to feel responsive to a user, it should be responding in under 100 milliseconds. And then for stuff like LCP what is kind of a pay and cumulative layout shift, it was kind of looked at existing performance and then also testing with users what they felt like was a good experience.
