The number of malls in Singapore has doubled from 100 to over 200 and that number is still growing. But at the same time we are seeing many malls with shuttered units. Even iconic malls like the Cathay found it hard to survive despite a refresh. With me to discuss this topic today is Adjung Associate Professor Linda Wie from Nanyang Business School she specializes in retailing and mall management. And Winnie Chan, Founder and CEO at Bine Artisan which has three retail outlets.
