Should I Use CPAP or High Flow?
The question that a lot of clinicians face is, I've got a patient with hypoxic respiratory failure. Should I be using CPAP or should I be using high flow? What would you say are the indications for each? Yeah, that's a very good question. You know, in the past, so let's say CPAP is providing positive pressure, DNA of expression. For instance, after abdominal surgery, large abdominal surgery, your diaphragm is not working well. And you have atelectasis, which needs pressure to be reopened. So it makes complete sense to deliver CPAP in these situations.
