Rabbi Shmuley Boteach: Sometimes we simply need a reminder that we need to let the text tell its own story, even if it's with a blend of genres. He says Apocalypse came to be identified as a separate genre and doesn't really capture what we might call so-called apocalyptic texts in Tanakh. The interpretive project is essential to all of prophetic writings, including these apocalyptic notions, he says.
