The School of Stoicism Is in Its Second, Third, Fourth Generation
Cleanthes was not known as being the brightest bulb, but with enough study managed to understand things. He held the school together during a critical transitional period from Zeno to precipice who came next after him. Right now, the leadership of the school is what I call the second generation. So it's in that generation and we need to get to the third.
