Ananias had more than a pronting. It was actually a theophany but he went right to it and maybe even sensing the danger of it. Another lesson that we would learn here is that he doesn't immediately become the apostle Paul, the great figure that we know of. There's this transition period where he sees himself as the lowest of the low within the church. He seeks out the wisdom and guidance of good people like Peter and other apostles.
