The Risks of Bankruptcy in New Zealand

I don't have any particular worries about the New Zealand banking system or the Australian banking system. I suspect they're going to wind up being a little less profitable in the coming years. We've seen banks grabbing opportunities as interest rates have gone up, so widen a few margins here and there. That's been helped by the fact that people have been going for core deposits rather than term deposits. It has probably given away one or two percent of interest paid to deposits.
