Parodying St Paul's Cathedral

The way in which the visuals of a city, even a very contemporary high-rise city, can in many ways encode inherited religious iconography. St Paul's Heights is a set of regulations introduced in the 1930s by the City of London Corporation that protect and enhance important views of the cathedral from various other points around London. And so, yeah, there are limits still to how the city's own, the city's as a word, aesthetic, how the city presents itself aesthetically or what part religious buildings play in that presentation.
