The Lacan Law and Foreclosure
I keep going between the Lacan law versus having been taken. The question here is, did you have something at one point that was then taken from you? And that is now lost. Or does the experience of loss itself retroactively figure this thing? In other words, were we once in Eden? And then we got kicked out? Were we in this euteromorphic space of becoming and bliss? And then language and society took that from us. It's not even an acknowledgment that the thing occurred. It's that didn't even happen.
