What Happened to This Patient?

The blood pressure, baro stat seems to be reset in patients who have coarctation in certain cases. This is responsible for hypertension even in individuals who don't have coar CT or repeat narrowing at the site of previous repairs. The most durable and most reliable long term result would be a more traditional aneurysmectomy with placement of an interposition graft. And so it's not surprising to me at all. I've had many patients with no evidence of repeat narrowing at their coarCTation site, who nevertheless have hypertension or with exertion.
