What Happened to General Walker?
In 1962, General Walker ran for governor of Texas. He came in last out of six candidates and got only 10% of the vote. The man who eventually became governor was John Connolly; Connolly was riding with President Kennedy when he was killed. In fact, Connolly himself was struck by one of the bullets during the assassination.
