The Importance of Fabric in Jewelry
We use the word constantly when we talk about the make of a jewel. This is the way it's made. When you say something is beautifully made in the department, we just say great make on that bracelet or great make. It is very closely related to fashion. I think with Chanel in particular, they crossed the line of really being a fashion accessory. You can't really separate it from its role as fashion accessory no matter how important the gemstones are.
