Introduction
Ludwig Wittgenstein was arguably the most significant philosopher of the 20th century. He moved to Cambridge in 1911 to study under Bertrand Russell and pursue his interest in logic. The Tractatus Logical Philosophicus is the only philosophy book Wittgenstein published during World War I. Barry Smith, a Wittgenstein expert at Birkbeck College explains why he's considered so important.
