The Interplay Between Eastern Mysticism and Catholicism
Merton died while attending a conference in Thailand about Eastern and Western mysticism. The way that it's told is that he died of electrocution because like some bathroom appliance fell in the tub. He had permission from his abbot to do this, right? But whether he should have even asked permission to do this as a monk, that's worth considering.
