The strikes and the other bits are convincing foreign investors that Mexico is still risky. Diaz's government has to offer higher returns to attract foreign money. The Mexican people are asking themselves, okay, so these enormous profits, are they really necessary? Or is this just, you know, the government is corrupt and they're taking their cut?
