The Limits of Academic Bullying

The recent awareness about the issue of academic bullying basically forced other stakeholders to come in and take some actions. For example, funding agencies now have a direct line for targets to report any abuse they receive if their PIs are funded by that particular agency. One thing I always emphasize for international students is to be proactive about the lab that they want to do their research. If they try to reach out to the former lab members, they can get useful feedback. By being proactive, they can actually evaluate the lab health prior joining a lab.
