The Schubert Theatres
The brothers commissioned architect henry herts to design two complimentary theatres mid block between broadway and eighth avenue. The samuel s schubert memorial theatre, named, of course, after their brother, was constructed in 19 13. And then both brothers would move into offices above the schubert at the time of its construction. But it didn't stop there. In 19 17, they opened the broadhurst, also on forty fourth street, the moras o and the plymouth on forty fifth street.
