The Health Effects of Noise in Hospitals
When it's quiet, the noise in a hospital is about 40 to 50 decibels. When alarms go for babies, parents think "Oh no, my baby going to die" Up to 99 out of every 100 constant hospital alarms are insignificant but that 1% could be a sign of someone's life in danger. Unsurprisingly, these kinds of sound environments aren't all that healthy for recovering patients.
