When i was in education, for example, take a teacher whos fresh to the profession. They're bringing fresh techniques to the class room that are more or less in line with their tendencies as a teacher. And as soon as these things get spotted by senior teachers or the administration, they want to bring them into an in service or some sort of teaching workshop. No amount of novelty injected into our educational apparatus is ever going to offset that. To be and remain a war machine always means, as youre saying, will is to embody this tendency towards a kind of slippage That gets us out of that contractarian mode, that getting us out of legalistic mode.
