Is Language Really Really Important?
I think that there are certain dimensions of experience that just can't be communicated through testimony or description. And for example, specifically about whether it's important to be able to communicate the specificity of the experience of the I see. We've been talking about race in this way for over 50 years and we're not going to never have a revolution. There are all sorts of things that would turn black America upside down in a generation that don't require burning anything down. But when we're talking about a group getting ahead and thriving we were fish who don't know what we'retalking about.
