The Junk Fee Prevention Act Is Out
On March 22nd, two senators introduced the Junk Fee Prevention Act. The same bill was introduced in the House by reps Ruben Gallego and Jeff Jackson. For hotels and ticketing service providers like Ticketmaster, it would require the full price of services to be disclosed up front. Consumers can submit complaints about junk fees to the CFPB on their website at www.consumerfinance.gov or calling 855-411-2372.
