Yellen said on March 16th that she can assure you to the Senate Banking Committee that our banking system is sound. But really, it would appear at first glance that she'd nationalized the banks. People had, for a long time, wanted the idea of public banking. They'd wanted banking to be a public utility, but now the Treasury itself has become privatized as a banking utility.
